1 in 10 young people are likely to be a young carer. They do an amazing job of looking after loved ones who need care at home. The additional responsibilities of caring can severely impact their wellbeing, educational attendance and attainment, and future aspirations. These dedicated young people urgently need support and guidance to help them feel less isolated, balance caring with education, social time and their own wellbeing, and be able to access the same opportunities as their peers.

We will deliver a holistic programme of aspiration-focused support for young carers, built on the understanding that confidence, connection, and the space to be heard help them to focus on themselves and their futures. Whether a young carer needs a fun break where they can laugh and relax or committed support sessions to explore balancing caring with their future planning, our groups, activities and 1-1 support services will help young carers to feel more confident and equipped to thrive.
