Elephants, pangolins, rhinos, lions, tigers and giraffes are caught in poachers’ snares every day. Many suffer and die slow, painful deaths. We are taking action to stop this cruelty - protecting wildlife, supporting communities and tackling the illegal trade that is putting wildlife at risk.

Poaching is one of the most significant contemporary threats to the world's wildlife. Illegal hunting, killing, capturing and taking of wildlife violates laws and is a crime that needs to end. Snare traps cause individual animals unnecessary harm & distress. They endanger not only the targeted animals, but wider populations, and disrupt the essential balance of nature. Anti-poaching measures are a conservation priority to reduce illegal wildlife trade, and to protect and preserve biodiversity.
We work tirelessly to increase legal protection for wild animals, improve enforcement to dismantle poaching gangs and organised criminal networks that control the illegal wildlife trade, and reduce demand for animals, and their parts and products, through education and policy advocacy at UK, EU and international levels. We also work on the ground, removing snares, freeing animals & treating injuries, & with communities to reduce the prevalence of, and find alternatives to, the hunting for food.
