Banwell Village Hall is a vital rural community hub but, after decades of constant use, the main hall is in urgent need of refurbishment. Ageing flooring, worn interiors and limited storage threaten the hall’s long-term sustainability and ability to serve local people affordably. Rising maintenance costs and fewer volunteers mean essential repairs must increasingly be outsourced, placing pressure on trustees working to keep this inclusive space accessible and affordable to all generations.

The trustees of Banwell Village Hall will refurbish the main hall to ensure it remains a safe, welcoming and affordable community space for all ages. Funding will restore the original parquet flooring, replace stage curtains, create understage storage, renew ceilings and walls, and install new doors and architraves. These improvements will protect the hall’s future, reduce ongoing maintenance pressures and support continued community use year-round.
