The winter months are always challenging for us here at the sanctuary, with many mouths to feed and animals to keep safe warm and healthy. From keeping the heating on in our kennels to covering vet costs and putting straw down for our goats and horses.

We are providing a safety net for animals in need. Animals who through no fault of their own find themselves in need of care and a safe place to call home. Year on year the demand never goes away, but the needs of the animals become more complex, with rehoming often taking longer, and the costs for the essential things we need to care for unwanted animals rises.
We will rescue, rehabilitate and rehome, or provide a home for life, for domestic and farm animals. Every year we rehome approximately 250 dogs and cats and we have 300 resident animals at the sanctuary.
