Across Bristol, people are being forced to skip meals, rely on food banks or go hungry. Around 1 in 12 households experience moderate to severe food insecurity, while people experiencing homelessness often lack access to any reliable source of nutritious food. Rising costs and ongoing financial hardship mean demand for emergency food support remains high, particularly among the most vulnerable. Without support, people face hunger, poor physical and mental health, and deeper social exclusion.

inHope ensures people facing crisis do not go hungry. Through the Wild Goose Day Centre and South & East Bristol Foodbank, we provide hot meals and emergency food parcels to people experiencing hunger and homelessness, with food predominantly donated by individuals, churches and businesses. Alongside food, we offer support and connection, helping people meet their immediate needs while improving wellbeing. This support provides a vital safety net for people when facing crisis point.
