Children growing up in poverty are not short of potential; they are short of consistent support. Many face learning gaps, anxiety, low confidence, social isolation and limited resources. In mixed-income London communities, these needs can be hidden. Without early support, children can fall further behind academically, become less engaged in school, experience worsening emotional distress, and miss out on the confidence, relationships and opportunities they need to thrive.

Chandran Foundation works in close partnership with primary schools, enabling staff to identify pupils most in need and provide a trusted, familiar setting for support. Through our 3 A’s model, we deliver free small-group English and Maths tutoring, trauma-informed creative arts therapy through Art of Wellbeing, resources, measurement and school staff capacity-building to help children catch up, build resilience, regulate emotions and stay connected to school.
