Pets are a lifeline; they provide companionship, stability, warmth and emotional support. Please help StreetVet deliver free veterinary care to the pets of those experiencing homelessness across the UK. Your support will help to keep them healthy and with their owners for as long as possible.

An estimated 380,000 people are homeless across the UK (Shelter, 2025), and one in four has a pet by their side. Without access to veterinary care for their loyal companions, people can become increasingly isolated and experience poorer wellbeing. Only one in five UK homelessness services is pet-inclusive, forcing many to choose between staying with their companion and accessing vital, often life-saving, support.
StreetVet believes the human-animal bond can transform lives. Our 500+ volunteer vets and vet nurses run regular outreach clinics in over 30 UK locations, providing free, accessible veterinary care. By keeping people and pets together, we reduce loneliness, build trust and support recovery beyond homelessness. Our StreetVet Accredited Hostel and Day Centre Scheme is helping more homelessness support services across the UK to become pet-inclusive.
