Homelessness is a global and local issue - in the last year we have seen a significant increase in local homelessness, and the complexities that cause someone to fall into that trap. in the first quarter of 2026 we registered 100 new clients, 89% of those we support report a mental health issue and 25% are struggling with addiction problems. Homelessness is not just about not having a home-there is much trauma and complexity surrounding this issue.

We give support, advice and guidance to around 850 people every year who are facing or experiencing homelessness. Our holisitic trauma informed support packages are tailored for every client, and include budgeting skills, tenancy training and mental and physical wellbeing activities, We also provide practical resources such as toiletries, food and shower facilities. We help to house around 100 people every year and intervene to avoid around 100 evictions every year.
