Your support will empower 200 disadvantaged girls in the East Midlands to build resilience, reject harmful comparisons and embrace their worth this Christmas. Beyond gifts and social media, we’ll help them grow confidence, positivity and lasting self-belief during a challenging season.

For young people supported by Love4Life, Christmas can be a challenging rather than joyful time. Poverty, difficult home lives and unhealthy relationships can leave many feeling isolated. Social media can intensify this pressure by showcasing ‘perfect’ celebrations, impacting self-worth and making positivity harder to hold onto. For the young people we support, this sense of not being enough can contribute to self-harm, suicidal thoughts or a return to harmful coping mechanisms.
Our 17 weekly groups provide a safe, non-judgemental space where girls can speak openly and feel heard. Sessions give them something positive to look forward to and a chance to celebrate themselves. Through interactive activities, we support self-esteem and coping skills, alongside festive crafts, games and discussion. Girls are helped to understand their emotions, build resilience and feel valued, reminding them their worth is not defined by gifts or social media, but by who they are.
