Last Christmas alone, nearly 22,000 people in BaNES were in contact with NHS mental health services. But many people are left struggling in silence or turned away with the words, “we don’t deal with cases like yours.” Without timely support, mental health can deteriorate and lead to challenges affecting relationships, employment, education and physical health. Too many people are left without a safe space to talk and be heard. Bath Mind is here to make sure no one has to struggle alone.

At Bath Mind, counselling is open to anyone who would benefit – no criteria, no turning people away. Our counselling service offers a space for individuals to self-reflect, process experiences and develop self-management tools. Sessions are tailored to each person - there’s no fixed limit, giving them the time they need. While waiting, people stay connected to us through our other services and after, they’re signposted to ongoing support, with a six‑month re‑referral option.
