We help families who need us the most, when they need us most, protecting childhoods, helping families to feel heard and understood, and standing with them through difficulties which can't always be solved but need to be recognised. Our support creates better childhoods and lasting change.

Across our East of England communities, many children and families experience trauma, grief, mental health challenges and additional needs affecting their wellbeing and future opportunities. Nationally, around 46,300 children are bereaved of a parent, nearly 200,000 have a parent in prison, and around 1 in 5 have SEND. These factors can significantly impact family stability and children’s life chances. Too many families don’t know where to turn, or can’t get the support they need.

We support children and families through early, specialist therapeutic support. This includes mental health support for young people, support for children affected by parental imprisonment or bereavement, peer support for parents of children with SEND, and intensive work with parents facing separation, loss and complex circumstances. By building trusted relationships and creating safe, supportive environments, we help families navigate challenges and access the support they need.
