Around one million young people in the UK are not in employment, education or training—enough to form the country’s third-largest city. Nearly half (47%) do not know where to find the support they need to succeed, with those facing disadvantages more likely to feel this way. Access to work, education and training can be life changing and we recognise access to these opportunities is not equal. We are committed to tackling inequality by supporting the young people who need us most.
Our Vision is that every young person should have the chance to succeed. To achieve this, we are concentrating our support in some of the UK’s most deprived areas where we believe we can make the biggest difference. We are designing our programmes to reflect the needs and backgrounds of the young people we support. We are proactively improving the support we provide to those facing disadvantages, and we’re getting better at reaching those who need us most through our marketing initiatives.
