We believe that everyone should have access to high-quality imaginative experiences with artists to enjoy the life-long benefits of creativity for everyone not just those who can afford to pay for it. We are committed to providing free and inspiring interactions with art for all.

Demand for our free activities has risen by 50%, funding cuts make meeting this demand impossible without your help. Poor mental health, loneliness and social isolation affect children, families and older people. 58% of residents report concerns about their mental health and 40% of older people experience income deprivation. Free access to art is rarely available making Lightbox’s programme vital to provide creative experiences and connection proven to benefit everyone.

Lightbox Gallery & Museum provides free, inclusive arts and wellbeing programmes for children, families, older people, carers and people living with dementia. We deliver creative workshops and social activities that reduce isolation, build confidence and skills, and strengthen community connection. With £10,000 of support, we can expand delivery and reach more people, ensuring access to vital creative wellbeing support where local services are increasingly limited
