The UK is one of the most nature depleted countries in the world, and 41% of our species have declined since 1970, whilst 15% of our species like skylark and linnet are threatened with extinction from much of London. We need to bring wildlife back at scale, and pace. We need to connect Londoners with the nature on their doorstep and demonstrate what can be achieved to halt this decline.

We need to bring wildlife back at scale, and pace. We will bring back beavers to East London, and enable Londoners to see them at work showcasing their reputation as unrivalled waterway eco-engineers capable of restoring water quality, and even mitigating flooding in the right settings. Establishing a new population of charismatic white stork in London will act as a catalyst for wider wetland restoration across London, and inspire people to take actions which build a greener, wilder London.
