Infant cheetahs, otters, and orangutans are being stolen from the wild and trafficked into a brutal trade. Most will never leave a cage. Those that do never see the wild again. This is organised crime: illegal wildlife trade that generates billions in dark money by ripping nature apart.

Every year, wildlife traffickers steal millions of wild animals to feed a global criminal trade worth billions. Orangutans trapped in wire cages, otter pups wrenched from their homes. Many die before they reach their destination. Those that survive face captivity, smuggling and sale. TRAFFIC helps expose the people, routes and methods behind these horrific crimes, helping give law enforcement the data and insight they need to stop wildlife trafficking before more animals and ecosystems disappear

Wildlife traffickers rely on remaining hidden. Our work helps expose them. We uncover smuggling routes, identify criminal networks and provide intelligence to protect at-risk species and intercept traffickers. Our data and expertise has contributed to major international enforcement operations that have exposed trafficking syndicates and rescued thousands of stolen animals. But we need your help to do more. Turning information into action helps wildlife thrive where it belongs: in the wild.
