New Note Orchestra uses music to transform the lives of those affected by addiction and its supplementary issues like homelessness, trauma and poverty. We provide a safe community, encourage peer support, develop skills and nurture future leaders so they can become the best version of themselves.

Addiction affects us all. It creates chaos in communities, tears families apart and destroys lives. Yet addiction isn't a choice. It’s often rooted in trauma, poverty and poor mental health. People who experience addiction become disconnected from their family and friends, leaving them isolated and alone. Without connection and support, rebuilding a life can feel impossible. Finding a way out of addiction is often the difference between life and death.

Public Health England states that for every £1 spent on recovery from addiction, we save the taxpayer £4 overall. New Note Orchestra provides a safe space for people to stay sober and rebuild their lives through music, creativity and community. Our participants build confidence, develop new skills and discover strengths they never knew they had. Many go on to perform, volunteer and support others. Some become workshop leaders, transforming from people in need of support into future leaders.
