Hedgehog populations are in serious decline, with fewer than one million now believed to remain in the UK. As a result, the species has been classified as “vulnerable to extinction.” Habitat loss, climate change, dwindling food supplies, and increasing human impact are among the leading causes of hedgehog decline. Unfortunately, there are very few expert wildlife rehabilitation centres in our area, and the demand for our services continues to grow.
We care for hundreds of sick or injured hedgehogs each year, providing expert medical treatment and rehabilitation. Our release programme ensures hedgehogs return to safe habitats, supporting their welfare and contributing to vital conservation research. Through education and outreach, we raise awareness and promote hedgehog-friendly practices. With your support, we can continue protecting these vulnerable creatures.
