A child enters care every 15 minutes in the UK. While each journey is unique, the common factors are trauma, isolation and neglect. Families are reporting increasing levels of loneliness, and a lack of support when they need it most. Funding of early intervention services fell by 42% nationally between 2010 and 2024, with areas of high deprivation hit hardest. This isolation intensifies pressure on families, increasing the likelihood of breakdown and deepening isolation.
We bring hope and connection to families through local volunteers who offer consistent, non-judgemental support, coming alongside families when life feels uncertain. We offer one-to-one coaching to prospective carers as they explore opening their homes to children in care.
