Every girl deserves the opportunity to develop her talents, confidence and potential, yet many face financial, cultural and social barriers to accessing mainstream youth opportunities. At BJNW, over 850 girls participate annually, demonstrating the need for safe, female-only provision. Rise Girls will provide a free, culturally appropriate creative performance programme, helping girls build skills, friendships, confidence and a strong sense of belonging.
Rise, Girls will run a structured creative performance programme in a culturally appropriate, girls-only environment with free participation to remove financial barriers. Girls will take part in rehearsals, creative workshops and performance activities, developing confidence, teamwork, communication and leadership skills while building supportive friendships and peer networks. The programme will end with a final performance, enabling girls facing barriers to showcase their talents.
