Young refugees face many challenges – loneliness and isolation; language barriers; disrupted education, poor mental health and uncertainty about the future. Many have fled conflict or persecution. They’ve left everything they know behind and often made risky journeys to find safety. They must learn a new language, find their place in a new community and figure out how things work in a new country. Many are here alone, trying to create a sense of belonging while separated from family.

Through our hubs and clubs, we offer a place of welcome and community, and somewhere to play sports, do arts and crafts, improve language skills and make friends. Through our casework, we provide young people with support to navigate the asylum system, find a safe place to live, apply for college or access a doctor or lawyer. And through our campaigning for a fair and humane asylum system we are pushing for changes to give young people the chance of a better, safer future.
