Within our youth and community programme, a significant part involves engaging with children, young people / adults to promote learning, leisure and local action. We passionately strive to make a difference. A major aim is to encourage young people with challenges to connect, participate and develop

Impact areas
We support young people who, for varying reasons (eg. domestic problems, bullying, learning difficulties, autism, ADHD, behavioural challenges) require assistance to overcome mental health difficulties. Their poor confidence / self-esteem levels act as a barrier to their development and exclude them from community life. They very much feel apart as opposed to a part of it. We help them to overcome their challenges and to become contributing members of society.
We will provide a strong social support network and hope / optimism for their futures. These are key factors which will enable them to journey from poor mental health to better mental health. We will invest time and listen empathetically. Our young people will realise Grey Lodge Settlement is a non-judgemental place where they can be themselves without fear or worry. Via mentoring, group participation and volunteering, their confidence / self-esteem will grow and their mental health will improve
