Access to music education is steadily declining as schools and families face financial pressures which place lessons, instruments and progression opportunities out of financial reach. Aspiring young musicians in London and beyond are losing access to the pathways that enable them to discover and advance their musical journey. The Future Fund will remove barriers to opportunity, that without sustained intervention, threaten the future of the UK’s musical landscape.

The Future Fund represents LMF’s long-term commitment to the next generation of London’s young musicians. For fifteen years, we have widened access to musical opportunity through strategic partnerships with Music Services, schools, and cultural institutions. The Future Fund will secure LMF’s programmes through investment in our progression routes, Playing Days and youth voice, while enabling the next chapter of our work through new pathways and partnerships across London and beyond.
