Madagascar is one of the world's most impoverished countries, where over 80% of people survive on less than $2 a day. Children drop out of school early, families lack access to clean energy, and rural communities are cut off from resources that could transform their futures. Climate shocks and economic pressures are deepening these inequalities, and the communities who feel it most are often the last to be heard in decisions that affect them.

Money for Madagascar works alongside Malagasy communities. For 40 years we have supported locally rooted programmes in education, social care, community conservation, solar energy, and sustainable livelihoods, trusting Malagasy people to lead their own change. When people have the skills, resources, and confidence to improve their lives and define their own futures, we know we have done our job.
