FACT welcomes 2,000 young people each year, the majority with their Year 5/6 school class or youth group, for a 4 night/5 day residential adventure. Our bursary fund ensures that no child is ever left behind, since 2013 we have given financial support to 2,674 children, a net amount of £206,248

Many families struggle with the cost of everyday living and a residential school trip can fall to the bottom of the priority list when essentials like food and utilities need to be paid for. Schools no longer have additional funds to be able to support these families. The children that benefit most from these trips are often unable to attend with their friends and class mates without this support - we want to continue to ensure that no child is ever left behind for financial reasons.
FACT started a bursary fund a number of years ago to ensure that no child is ever left behind. Since the COVID pandemic we have seen an increase each year in the number of bursary applications we receive, 2025 was a record year - the bursary fund supported 354 children to come to FACT, an amount of £30,211. We anticipate in 2026 we will need £36k.
