The Ethelred Estate, where BPT is based, is home to around 4,000 residents, all within the 2nd & 3rd deciles for deprivation (lowest 20/30%). We also support people from surrounding communities facing similar challenges. Our goal is to engage those least likely to take part in sport due to cost, cultural, gender or age barriers. 80% of participants are from ethnically diverse backgrounds, 35% are female and 57% live in areas of high deprivation.

BPT and partners run 70+ weekly accessible & inclusive sessions free-of-charge for the local community, including football, basketball, boxing & fitness. Programmes are designed to engage marginalised groups who typically experience barriers to sport & physical activity. We support people living with physical & mental health challenges, using sport & physical activity to positively impact their lives. We also run a weekly food distribution programme in partnership with The Felix Project.
