We are in the midst of a housing crisis, and Newham, where we are based, has the highest rate of homelessness in the country. Here, 1 in 18 people have nowhere to call home. Rough sleeping in the borough is at an all-time high, and more people are losing their homes as a result of the rising costs of living. Newham also has high unemployment rates, so we’re dedicated to removing barriers to the job market for people who've been homeless so that independent living is achievable and sustainable.
Our person-centred support is tailored to each individual that arrives, and includes focus on immediate needs, a safe place to live, life skills, education & employment, budgeting, health & wellbeing, and importantly, move-on and sustaining long-term tenancies beyond Your Place. In the year to March 31st 2026, we supported 243 people on their journeys away from homelessness, 37 secured or sustained employment, 73 moved on into their next homes and of those contacted, 100% sustained tenancies.
