Life with ME/CFS or Long Covid can change everything overnight. One in four are so severely affected they cannot leave their bed or home. Many lose their jobs, studies, friendships, & independence. Often, they are not believed, even by their doctors, & left isolated with no one who understands. When there is nowhere to turn, hope quietly fades. Yet when people reach out to us, we cannot always answer, & waiting lists grow. Families & carers are affected too, with nowhere to turn for support.
For over 45 years, we have made sure no one faces ME or Long Covid alone. Whoever you are, we help you find support that suits you. ME Connect, our free support line, is the only live support line for ME in the UK, answered by people who listen & believe you. We want to add capacity so the lines stay open longer & more get through. Our online community never closes, alongside the ME Knowledge Bank, the UK's largest free literature collection, whilst we work UK-wide for better NHS care & support.
