Bliss is raising money for the most vulnerable babies. Your gift will give direct support to parents with a baby in neonatal care over Christmas and into 2027. You will help us to advocate for neonatal babies’ rights and to improve care through our work with neonatal units and health professionals.

Every year, 90,000 babies are born sick or premature. They face a tough start, needing specialist care and often long stays on a neonatal unit. Sadly, some don’t survive. This Christmas, around 1,700 babies will need neonatal care. For families, joy turns to fear, and a festive celebration becomes a quiet meal by their baby’s bedside, with cuddles replaced by worry and uncertainty.
In the confusing, medicalised neonatal environment, Bliss is a source of clarity, information and knowledge to help parents play an active role in their baby’s care. This Christmas we will be on hand providing comprehensive accessible information about neonatal care. We’ll answer parent’s questions and offer emotional support via a team of cotside volunteers. Our moderated peer support platforms will provide support and advice helping parents feel less alone.
