Every day in Hammersmith & Fulham, people are falling into poverty, forced to choose between heating and eating, paying rent or buying food. The ongoing high cost of living has meant that more and more people are struggling to afford the essentials and access vital services to get them out of the cycle of poverty. Demand for our services has risen 119% since before 2020, with 27,567 people in 2025 turning to us being unable to afford the essentials. This has to change.
Together, we can ensure people do not go hungry this winter while helping to tackle the root causes of poverty in Hammersmith & Fulham. Through our eight weekly foodbank sessions, families and individuals receive three-day,10-meal nutritious food parcels,alongside signposting and one-to-one support. By connecting people with advice, housing, health and community services, we help improve wellbeing, increase financial stability and move people from crisis to stability.
