Stonewall’s programmes across schools, workplaces and sports and wellbeing settings will create a culture of acceptance and a network of belonging spanning the whole of the UK. We will not rest until everyone, everywhere has equal rights and an equal chance to live, work and thrive.

Once a world-leader in LGBTQ+ equality, the UK is losing its status as a progressive, tolerant and accepting country. LGBTQ+ people are feeling their rights and freedoms coming under threat as regressive laws, the curtailing of freedoms and the rise of populist movements is creating political and cultural turbulence. We need to situate and amplify the voices and experiences of our diverse LGBTQ+ community so that places of work, learning and socialising feel safe, accepting and open for all.
Stonewall seeks to transform the institutions that shape people’s lives – including government, healthcare, education, workplaces and public services – so that LGBTQ+ people are treated with dignity and respect. One of our three strategic aims is to create inclusive places where everyone can work, play and succeed throughout their lives. We will channel funding into our programmes for employers, schools, and sports clubs so that we built a network of belonging to support all LGBTQ+ people
