RCLC is tackling the isolation, poverty, and exclusion faced by migrant, refugee, and asylum-seeking women in Reading. Many women arrive with little English, trauma, and no support network, leaving them unable to access education, healthcare, or employment. Through women-only classes, childcare, advice, and community support, RCLC helps women rebuild confidence, gain skills, find hope, and create brighter futures for themselves and their children
RCLC tackles isolation and inequality through women-only education, wellbeing and support services. We provide free ESOL, literacy, IT, sewing and wellbeing classes alongside childcare, advice, outreach and mental health support. Our charitable work empowers migrant, refugee and asylum-seeking women to build confidence, gain skills, improve independence, access services, and create stronger, more hopeful futures for themselves and their families
