Across rural Kenya and Uganda, women and young people are working to build better lives through beekeeping. They have the drive and land, but lack access to training and equipment. This Christmas, your support will help 10 communities turn beekeeping into lasting income.

Beneficiaries
Many rural families in Kenya and Uganda rely on small-scale farming and informal work, but climate change, poor harvests and limited access to markets make incomes low and unpredictable. Women-led households and unemployed young people are particularly affected. Beekeeping offers a practical, low-cost way to earn income while protecting the environment, but many groups lack the training, equipment and confidence to start safely and successfully.
We work alongside trusted local partners in Kenya and Uganda to provide people with the training and equipment they need. Over three years, we will train 253 people across 10 communities in beekeeping and value-added products, provide hives and protective kits, and develop local trainers in every group. The result is a sustainable income for families, and skills that stay in the community and pass to the next generation, long after our support ends.
