We produce high quality information guides about rare chromosome and gene disorders that are medically accurate as well as accessible to families and individuals. We would like to raise funds to create up to 8 new guides for newly identified conditions.

Recent advances in genomics mean new rare chromosome and gene conditions are being discovered and diagnoses are increasing. Doctors and other professionals lack specific knowledge of new conditions and are therefore unable to explain what the condition is and how a child will be affected now or in the future. Our Scientific Communications team urgently need to create new information guides to support struggling families so they can provide the best care for their child.
Each new guide costs an average of £2.5k to produce. We would like the Big Give to help make our annual Christmas Fundraiser even more successful and raise £20k for 8 new guides. As a small charity we plan to encourage our committed and active members to dig deep and help us raise £10,000 by donating to light up a virtual Christmas tree which unlocks the matched funding and enables a personalised message on our website/socials. With pledges and match funding we would raise a much needed £20k
