Refugees and people seeking safety in Leeds can face winter with no safe place to stay, little English, poverty and deep isolation. Without early support, people can miss vital letters, struggle to access services, remain homeless, and lose confidence before they have had a real chance to rebuild.
Through the Christmas Challenge, donations will be doubled to help LASSN bring local people alongside refugees and people seeking safety. We will arrange safe places to stay, teach English at home, offer volunteer mentoring, create chances to connect, and keep NewToLeeds.org up to date.
