The RFB Community Resilience Campaign launches our new strategy to move from crisis response to long-term resilience. Beyond emergency food, we’re tackling the root causes of poverty through stronger partnerships, community support, empowerment, and sustainable solutions for Redbridge.

Redbridge is facing rising levels of poverty and food insecurity, with more individuals and families turning to foodbanks for the first time. Increasing living costs, insecure income, and limited access to support are trapping many people in repeated crisis. Emergency food remains essential, but without stronger long-term interventions, communities risk becoming increasingly dependent on short-term crisis support rather than being supported towards stability and resilience.
The RFB Community Resilience Campaign will strengthen Redbridge Foodbank’s ability to move beyond emergency food provision towards long-term community resilience. Through improved food infrastructure, stronger partnerships, empowerment programmes, volunteer development, and integrated support services, we will address both immediate need and the root causes of poverty, helping people build greater stability, dignity, and independence for the future.
