Zambia has one of the world's youngest populations, yet many young people face barriers to education, healthcare and opportunity. Only around 64% progress from primary to secondary school, with girls particularly vulnerable to dropping out due to early marriage, teenage pregnancy and period poverty. Combined with limited life skills, support and training opportunities, many young people are left without the knowledge, confidence and opportunities to fulfil their potential.
Beyond Ourselves equips young people with the knowledge, confidence and support to make informed decisions about their future. Through Dream & Dare, we provide life skills, mentorship and reproductive health education, distribute reusable menstrual products to help girls stay in school, and train local facilitators and community leaders to create safer, more supportive communities where young people can grow in identity, purpose and opportunity.
