Phelan McDermid Syndrome (PMS) Is a rare genetic condition that effects every aspect of a persons life. It is associated with Autism, severe developmental delay, intellectual disability, absent or limited speech, epilepsy, Hypotonia, sleep disorders, gastrointestinal problems and psychiatric illness and developmental regression. Most people with the illness require life long care and have never met anyone with the illness so feel isolated, even medical professionals are not familiar with it

PMSF UK addresses the isolation experienced by families effected by Phelan McDermid syndrome by delivering a national family day which brings together, children, Adults with PMS, parents, siblings, carers and supporters across the UK. The event will provide a safe, welcoming and fully accessible environment where families can meet others who trull understand the realities of living with a rare condition. For many attendees it will be the first opportunity to connect face to face
