The project will provide new and refurbished buildings at our Nethy Bridge outdoor residential activity centre in the Scottish Highlands. The development will facilitate another 50 years of Abernethy’s Christian team ‘Seeing Lives Transformed’ through the outdoors, challenge, adventure and Jesus.

The reach of our evangelism and discipleship ministry is limited by our Centre buildings. They don’t meet guest's needs and restrict our revenue for organisational sustainability. Factors include: too few guest bedrooms; lack of en-suites; poor accessibility; limited housing for gap academy discipleship programme participants and trainee instructors; limited dining space; ageing staff housing. Also new Scottish Residential Outdoor Education legislation will soon increase demand in our sector.

The project is split into 3 phases. 1 - Construction of a new lodge with 32 en-suite accessible rooms. Also refurbishment of three existing chalets to provide accommodation for trainee instructors and gap academy participants. 2 – Construction of a new 148 seat flexible dining hall, new kitchen and staff community hub and upgrading of existing staff housing. 3 - Redevelopment of the existing main house ground floor creating new accessible en-suite bedrooms, lounge, and meeting spaces.
