Parenting during the early years of a child's life is not always easy, especially when you're going through difficult times. The families who come to us for support are experiencing issues such as isolation, low mental health, financial pressures and domestic abuse. Most do not have a support network to help them. Parents feel overwhelmed by their situations and this negatively impacts their children, affecting the child's development, level of school readiness and future outcomes.

Through early intervention, when support can make the most difference, we help families to work through their challenges and become more resilient. With the weekly, confidential and compassionate 1-to-1 support of our trained home-visiting volunteers, we're able to help families in exactly the ways they need. This weekly support boosts a parent's self-esteem, reduces isolation and helps families feel connected to their community. This early help can lead to better outcomes for the child.
