Child trafficking and exploitation is child abuse. Child victims need specialised protection, support and care. In 2025, 7,028 children were identified as potential victims of trafficking through the National Referral Mechanism (NRM), a 16.5% increase from 2024, representing 30% of all referrals. Despite mandatory reporting requirements there is significant under-reporting and identification and no mandatory training. Children deserve better.

ECPAT UK seeks to end child trafficking and exploitation and improve protection, care and justice for child victims through an integrated model that combines direct youth support, policy and advocacy, research, and specialist training. We provide rights based, children centred and trauma informed 1:1 support, therapy and gender specific peer support groups and engage young people in meaningful and ethical participation to achieve systemic change.
