We are raising funds to complete the replacement of Lichfield Cathedral's ageing sound system, ensuring everyone who worships, visits, attends events, or joins us online can hear clearly, participate fully, and feel included.

Lichfield Cathedral's sound system is now more than 25-years-old and has become increasingly unreliable. The system can no longer be updated, and replacement parts are difficult or impossible to find. As a result, many members of our congregation, visitors, and audiences struggle to hear clearly and fully participate in worship, events, and Cathedral life.
We are undertaking a complete replacement of the Cathedral's sound system with a modern, integrated solution designed specifically for a large historic building. It will provide clear and consistent audio throughout all public areas of the Cathedral and incorporate modern accessibility features, including a hearing loop for people with hearing impairments, and improved facilities for livestreaming services to people beyond the Cathedral walls.
