In conflicts, schools are destroyed, occupied by armed groups and used to shelter displaced people. Students and teachers can be targets of violence and, for many, continuing to learn is just not an option. When children are forced to flee their homes, they miss out on more education as they make dangerous journeys to safety. In host countries, including the UK, they then face long waits, barriers to admission, and poorer outcomes - making it almost impossible to build better futures.

We are working towards a world where all refugee children and young people can access education, thrive in education, and use that education to create a hopeful, brighter future. Thanks to your donation, REUK will be able to provide community-based educational mentoring, safe study groups and vital 1:1 information, support and guidance which will enable over 2,000 refugee children and young people to get into education faster and do better academically and psychosocially when there.
