In one of Africa's most fragile regions, FIGS supports Ibba Girls Boarding School (IGBS) in South Sudan, providing primary and secondary education and safe boarding for up to 360 marginalised girls. Your support will help sustain the school, provide meals, pay staff and fund scholarships.

In South Sudan, girls face many barriers to education. Poverty, conflict, child marriage, and domestic labour keep many girls at home. Over 70% of school-age children are out of school, and fewer than 10% of girls complete secondary education. Early pregnancy and marriage limit girls’ futures and perpetuate cycles of poverty. Without safe, supportive spaces to learn, girls miss out on education, their rights, health, and the chance to have a voice in their communities.
FIGS supports IGBS, providing high-quality education for up to 360 marginalised girls from Western Equatoria State, one of South Sudan's most remote regions. Primary and secondary students board together on a safe, supportive campus, free from the pressures of early marriage and domestic responsibilities. Following the South Sudanese national curriculum, IGBS helps girls complete their education and, through scholarships for school leavers, access further training and leadership opportunities.
