Talent is universal, opportunity is not. The MCC Foundation exists to change that. We use cricket to remove barriers facing young people in underserved communities in the UK and globally. Through free coaching and pathways, we build confidence, improve wellbeing and transform lives through cricket.

Young people face unequal access to cricket due to cost, geography, gender inequality and limited opportunities, particularly in underserved communities. This restricts participation, wellbeing and progression. Despite large scale engagement through MCCF programmes, many young people remain excluded from the confidence, belonging and opportunity that cricket can provide.

Our UK-wide network of 219 Hubs are free to access and offer winter coaching, summer match play and wellbeing support for state-educated 11–16-year-olds. Around 700 young people join our programmes daily across our international projects. Our Girls' Coaching Scholarship inspires the next generation of female cricketers and ensures that more girls pursue careers in cricket. The new 2026 Barclays Knight-Stokes Cup boosts hard-ball cricket participation in state secondary schools.
