Alongside all the normal to-do lists, dementia carers are carrying another list that goes unseen. They’re managing medication; changing behaviours; paperwork and disturbed nights. The list goes on. We want to lighten their load and be there for them. Helping them feel seen, heard and supported.

The carers we support are partners, adult children, and friends caring 24/7 for someone with dementia. They're navigating sleepless nights, extreme anxiety and complex personal care, while managing their own health, families and finances. Many do it completely alone. Friends step back - they don’t know what to say. Their worlds shrink. They’re losing themselves, as well as the person they are caring for. "I feel mentally hopeless about the future, I feel lonely and trapped” One carer said.

Our Carer Support Service provides vital guidance and practical help to people caring for someone with dementia. Delivered by our expert multi-disciplinary team, the service plugs the widening support gap. We offer in-depth 1:1 support around the practical, emotional and financial challenges of looking after someone with dementia. Our support is tailored to carers’ needs and includes benefits advice, advocacy, practical coping strategies and emotional support via counselling.
