We address this by involving citizens directly in scientific research across water, land and education, helping people build a connection with nature while generating evidence that supports conservation and climate action.

Earthwatch Europe tackles environmental disengagement by involving people directly in citizen science. Working across the UK, we engage communities, schools, businesses and policymakers in research on water, biodiversity and climate resilience. By connecting people with nature and equipping them with scientific tools and knowledge, we generate valuable environmental data, inspire behaviour change and empower people to take action for a healthier planet.
