Despite their determination, by age 25 just 52.8% of disabled young people are in employment compared to 82.5% of their non-disabled peers. For those with learning disabilities, only 6% of adults known to their local authority are in paid work, even though the vast majority want a job. Without evidence of work readiness, many are excluded before they even get through the door.

Yateley Industries has over 90 years' experience supporting disabled adults into meaningful employment. Funding will enable us to recruit a dedicated Job Coach to deliver a 48-week supported barista programme for 10 young disabled adults (18–25). Through our accessible Community Café and partnership with SEND Coffee, participants will gain workplace skills, confidence and experience, creating pathways into employment and greater independence.
