This campaign will support Agenda Alliance to expand our Women’s Advisory Network, deepening our work to centre and platform the voices of the most marginalised women and girls in our mission to challenge and reform policies and practices that fail them.

Many women and girls in England are marginalised. Nearly a third have experienced domestic abuse. The number of girls who missed over 50% of school has skyrocketed by 266% since 2017. 82% of women in prison have a mental health problem. Appropriate support is not provided early enough, and systems and services are rarely designed by and for women. As such, women and girls are repeatedly failed, and pushed into further harm (poverty, homelessness, and contact with the criminal justice system).
Agenda Alliance amplifies women’s voices and campaigns for systems to respond appropriately to women and girls with multiple unmet needs, with our Women’s Advisory Network (WAN) at the heart of this. Through consistent consultation with and platforming of the WAN and its members, all our campaign messages and asks of policymakers and practitioners are developed in collaboration with women, creating a direct link between those in power and those affected by policy and practice.
