In many domestic abuse cases, women disengage from statutory support due to challenges such as language barriers, feelings of mistrust, complex documentation demands, and the re-traumatising experience of having to retell their story. Many women are struggling against social and economic disadvantages. Often clients are going through significant life events, such as fleeing home, leaving a job, needing a new home, having a baby, experiencing grief, and starting a whole new life for themselves.

My Sisters' House offers support of trained specialist staff with knowledge and experience in the fields of domestic abuse, wellbeing and emotional support. Our services include one-to-one key working, counselling, housing & resettlement support, financial guidance, advocacy, peer support groups and wellbeing & educational programmes. We also provide free-of-charge toiletries (to help maintain a women’s dignity), safety equipment and access to baby bundles and foodbank vouchers.
