LoveWell developed due to the needs of women facing multiple barriers to employment and complex trauma from sexual exploitation, trafficking and DA. As more women experience financial hardship from the sharp rise in the cost of living, many are finding informal and insecure employment will not support them and their families. Our programme combines confidence-building, practical support and mentoring in a safe, secure environment that raises their aspirations, enabling them to flourish.
We recognise that long-term, sustained investment in women facing multiple and complex barriers to employment is what leads to their success in finding work they can thrive in. Our Live and Work Well programme combines 6 months of employability and life skills training with 12 months of mentoring in a supportive and secure environment, and it is this combination that enables longer-term, transformative support. 65% of the women who complete our programmes are in employment within 12 months.
